Latest generation Lasertec 210 installed this month
The new Lasertec 210 (LT210) machine arrived at Standex Engraving Mold-Tech Michigan this month, doubling the plant's capacity to process large tooling.
For the first time, Mold-Tech Michigan will now be able to laser engrave texture onto tooling that measures 1.8 m x 2.1 m x 1.2 m and weighs up to 10 tonnes. Previously, molds for large pieces like door panels, step pads and box top rails were completed on an older LT210 at a slower rate. We are looking forward to providing our customers with even faster turn-around times, with the additional capacity to engrave on larger tools.
Todd Wilmore, Laser Manager at Mold-Tech Michigan said, «The latest generation technology allows the laser head to operate at higher speeds and frequencies that could allow for processing to be upwards of seven times faster for some applications.»
With the addition of the LT210 in North America, this plant now joins our other Standex Engraving Mold-Tech locations who also currently have this machine in Krefeld, Germany; Suzhou, China and Dongguan, China. Other locations with laser capacities are in Portugal and Italy, but with other varieties of the latest machines.
